Artwork of Dmytro Andrukhov (LumiDim)
Dmytro Andrukhov is a Chicago-based artist working with light as his primary medium. His practice moves between contemporary art, urban visual culture, and experimental
light-based expression, resulting in works that feel both immediate and distinctive. He is recognized as one of the early artists developing a highly individual approach to
acrylic-based artworks combined with neon and graffiti-influenced visual elements.

Rather than using light as decoration, Andrukhov treats illumination as part of the composition itself — shaping depth, directing focus, and changing the way each work is
experienced in space. His artistic language is rooted in strong visual contrast, layered imagery, and a careful
understanding of how light interacts with surface and environment. This gives the work a presence that feels vivid and architectural, while still remaining personal and expressive.

Andrukhov’s works have been shown on national television in the United States and are featured in private and commercial collections across many countries. His artworks have also attracted the attention of major restaurants and hospitality spaces, where his pieces are valued for their ability to create atmosphere, identity, and lasting visual impact. Working under the name LumiDim, Dmytro Andrukhov continues to expand a body of work that pushes light-based art in a more contemporary and original direction.
